About Annie Arena
Annie has been taking pictures most of her life, receiving her first camera at the age of seven. Her hobby has grown into her business, entering shows, competing in clubs, selling prints and taking portraits. She has received several awards in competitions.
Annie has received many compliments
on her style of photography, making her subjects very relaxed
and comfortable. She is very patient with children and animals
using their personalities to capture them on film.
Annie currently has a show at the
Atlantic City Aquarium (www.atlanticcityaquarium.com) featuring
her underwater photography from Roatan, 30 miles off the coast
of Honduras. The work will be displayed through the end of
2006.
In the spring of 2005 she spent a week driving, hiking and
canoeing through the Florida Everglades taking hundreds of
pictures of the flora and fauna.
Annie has always loved nature
and enjoys taking photographs while hiking, boating and vacationing.
She started scuba diving in 2000 and has made over 100 dives.
She is Open Water, Advanced, Rescue Diver and Nitrox certified.
She has dived in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina,
and Pennsylvania, but most enjoys the cold dark shipwrecks
off the coast of New Jersey. She has worked as a state research
diver for the State of New Jersey taking core sand samples
off the coast of Belmar.
